Overview

QuickMap Professional is a powerful easy to use desktop mapping and GIS system distributed with property and geographic data for New Zealand. Ideal for businesses requiring mapping software, or access to detailed land information.

QuickMap Professional can either be purchased as an Explorer or Enterprise Edition. The Enterprise Edition has all the functionality of the Explorer Edition plus:

•	Import / export of standard GIS vector file formats – supported formats include: Mid/Mif, Tab, Shape, DGN.

•	Reporting capabilities (Intersections) – ability to create reports of information within certain areas, or create a list of all legal descriptions of properties within a specified area.

•	Monthly, bimonthly or quarterly updates – there are three Enterprise update packages that you can subscribe to that offer varying frequencies of software and data updates.

•	Geodetic control points – database of Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) datum 2000 control points.

•	Easy to use – QuickMap is a robust application that can be installed on all PC's running a 32 bit Windows environment. All maps are fully interactive and customisable. Intelligent zoom and layer controls make map navigation extremely simple.

High speed searching using interactive search boxes - Just start to type in an address, street name, survey plan reference, legal description, title or owner and then choose from an interactive list of possibilities. Doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to spell, the search box will sort this out for you. The program then displays the location of the address on the map.

•	Data and Software Updates – Enterprise users can specify an update frequency and select the number of licenses that best meet their requirements.

GIS Capabilities - QuickMap lets you incorporate a variety of GIS capabilities into your business information. Points, lines, polygons and texts can be added directly into QuickMap using drawing tools, or from a relational database. Alternatively, data can be exported out in a number of standard formats, which includes DXF, for integration into CAD applications. You can also make the maps look how you want by changing colour schemes, line thickness text sizes etc.

•	Pre-packaged with nationwide topographic and property data – QuickMap comes bundled with all the legal and physical roads and their names, plus legal boundaries and property details of over 1.3 million properties and geographic information from the NZTopo (1:50 000 scale).

•	Government Maintained Source Data - All data is sourced from official government maintained databases and unlike other CD-ROM applications no data has been removed from QuickMap.

Database Connectivity – Connect and read/write to any relational database - No longer do you need to struggle with complicated proprietary spatial data formats. QuickMap enables you to read and write spatial information to most relational databases. This make it very easy to integrate and analyse the data stored in your own database with the data contained in QuickMap. Standard database queries can be used and the results displayed on the map.

•	Distributed on CD-ROM – QuickMap is distributed on 4 CD-ROMS. Two for the North Island and two for the South Island. No data is neglected from the government maintained source database.

•	Create maps with your own data - Add, display and save your own personal or business data to the maps and make the maps look how you want by changing colours, fonts and styles.

•	3D - Flythrough Capability - With or without air photo’s, the 3D Flythrough is still pretty neat. Just turn on the information you want to see in 3D and away you go. Create your own map including data you have just added, and then fly around it in 3D.

Valuation / Rates Assessment Numbers - Search by and View Valuation References. QuickMap now has Valuation / Rates Assessment Numbers. As well as being vital for property professionals, these references improve the link with ValBiz® which is a separate application provided by Headway Systems that provides sales data and property management capability.

•	High speed – QuickMap’s defining feature is its speed, it has the ability to draw large amounts of data to the screen in seconds.

•	Vector based product – Most data contained in QuickMap is in vector format, not raster images like most of the alternate mapping products.

•	Advanced searching and data editing capabilities - Search on over 1.3 million property addresses and thousands of street names and other geographic and legal features.

•	Route Planning - QuickMap will plot the shortest route between any two addresses in seconds, highlight the route on a detailed road map and provide a list of turn by turn directions to help you navigate to your destination.

•	GPS Support - Connect your GPS to QuickMap and plot your current position, or save a breadcrumb trail as you move around. QuickMap supports NMEA serial data interface, compatible with most GPS units such as the Garmin GPS.

High Resolution Topographical Maps - High quality Topographic Maps provide you with the physical details of properties with seamless relief hill shading covering New Zealand. Any information in QuickMap, such as parcel boundaries or information you have added yourself can be overlayed on the map for High quality custom built outputs.

•	Search on street addresses for almost 1.3 million properties throughout New Zealand, physical features such as schools, hospitals, quarries etc., personal or business data that you have added to the map.

•	Create your own road map by adding your personal route to the map, with just the road names you are interested in being highlighted. This feature allows you to produce a readable road map at scales never before possible, because the map displays only the road names you are interested in.

•	Add, modify or delete spatial information and attribute information ie location and details of your business clients, or the distribution of your products and services, personal data such as points of interest, personalised tracks, or any data you want to store and view on a map.
