Important notice
LINZ have updated their Terms & Conditions for use of LINZ data, effective from 31 July 2017 which now explicitly prohibits the use of its data for unsolicited direct marketing purposes.
As a result, the Quickmap Terms & Conditions have been updated, with effect from 31 July 2017. The LINZ licence now explicitly prohibits the use of its data for unsolicited direct marketing purposes. These changes by LINZ are outside our control and we apologise for any inconvenience.
The Quickmap Terms & Conditions have now been changed in the following manner to reflect the LINZ licence changes:
- Quickmap users are now prohibited from using any data and personal information (e.g. owner data) that is licenced under LINZ for:
- unsolicited direct marketing purposes; or
- in recipient lists provided by you to other parties, which are likely to be used for unsolicited direct marketing.
- ‘Unsolicited direct marketing’ means a targeted marketing communication, in any form, that the recipient has not consented to receiving.
The new Terms & Conditions can be viewed at http://www.quickmap.co.nz/quickmap-terms-and-conditions/ and when you run the next Quickmap data update.
Please ensure that all staff (or other people who have been authorised to access and use Quickmap under your account) are aware of the update, and understand that any breach of the Terms & Conditions could result in suspension or termination. All users who access Quickmap from 31 July 2017 will be deemed to have accepted the updated terms
In all other aspects, the functionality of Quickmap – NZ’s most widely used Desktop property information tool – remains unchanged.
