When trying to download Quickmap or Quickmap data using the QDownloader or QSetup, you may get the following error:

HTTP Status 407 – Proxy Authentication is Required

This happens because your proxy server is blocking the download, but not necessarily due to an authentication issue. Check that BITS traffic is allowed through the proxy server for the user (including any elevated user) on the computer effected.

If everything looks to be in order, there may be a quirk allowing BITS traffic through your proxy server. For example, TMG Proxy Server requires the download.quickmap.co.nz website to not be inspected for malware in order to get rid of the HTTP Status 407 – Proxy Authentication is Required error.
