When trying to install Quickmap, you get this error:

Failed to ShowLicence. Error is: Component ‘RICHTX32.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid Attempting second try Failed ShowLicence

This error occurs because the RICHTX32.OCX component has failed to register.

There are two options to fix this.

Option 1

Copy Disk 2 (the data disk) and RENAME the rtf file to something else (which can originally be found in D:\Island\Disk2\Release\Qmap_License.rtf). Then try to install Quickmap again.

Option 2

Run the following command in an elevated command prompt:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe c:\qmap\richtx32.ocx

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Press the Windows key on the keyboard (or click the Start / Windows button in the bottom left hand side of the screen)
2. Type cmd and right click the Command Prompt program that appears
3. Click Run as Administrator and enter the administrator password if you are prompted for it
4. Type the following command, then press enter:
   

   C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe c:\qmap\richtx32.ocx
