HTTP Status 403: The Client Does Not Have Sufficient Access Rights to The Requested Server Object – QSetup.exe

When trying to update data using the Quickmap Data Setup, you may get this error:

Quickmap Data Setup Failed

Download error: HTTP status 403: The client does not have sufficient access rights to the requested server object.
<File Path>\QSetup.exe

This is likely because you have run the setup from a location that only the user (and not the Administrator) has access to. When the execution of the program gets elevated to an administrative login, the elevated user (administrator) doesn’t have access to QSetup.exe. This typically happens when QSetup.exe is downloaded and stored in a users private directory, such as C:\Users\<username>.

To fix this, copy the QSetup.exe file to a location that can be access to all users, such as C:\Temp, then run QSetup.exe again from the new location.
