Convert a CSV File to Microsoft Access

Importing textual data 

 

QuickMap also allows import of data such as street address, simple x/y coordinates or strings.  To import textual data, it must first be imported into Microsoft Access.  NOTE: Requires Microsoft Access.

 

 

1.Save the CSV file with a simple name (excluding special characters and spaces).
2.Make sure there are no spaces in the column headings.
3.Highlight the data in the CSV file and click on Copy
4.Open Microsoft Access, selecting the option to create a new database
5.Give the Database a name and click on Create
6.A new database will open 
7.Select the Tables Tab from the Objects list on the left hand side

8.Select Edit, Paste from the drop-down Menu and this will automatically create a new table, saved with the same name as the CSV file.
