Importing textual data
QuickMap also allows import of data such as street address, simple x/y coordinates or strings. To import textual data, it must first be imported into Microsoft Access. NOTE: Requires Microsoft Access.
1. | Save the CSV file with a simple name (excluding special characters and spaces). |
2. | Make sure there are no spaces in the column headings. |
3. | Highlight the data in the CSV file and click on Copy |
4. | Open Microsoft Access, selecting the option to create a new database |
5. | Give the Database a name and click on Create |
6. | A new database will open |
7. | Select the Tables Tab from the Objects list on the left hand side |

8. | Select Edit, Paste from the drop-down Menu and this will automatically create a new table, saved with the same name as the CSV file. |
