Pan
Pan will move the map to another location in view. When Pan is selected, the map enters into a Pan state, indicated by the Pan cursor. which takes the form of a “Grabbing hand”.
To set the map state to Pan:
When in the Pan state, you can move to a different location on the map by holding down the left mouse button in the map window, and moving the mouse to the new location. The map will Pan when the left mouse button is released.
You can also Pan using the arrow keys or 4 (left) 6 (right) 8 (up) or 2 (down) - check the View menu..
Top View
Top View sets the scale and location of the map to one Island, or NZ if you have both Islands installed.
The Overview Window can be turned off or on by Selecting Tools> Show Overview Window.
Previous Map The Previous Button on the Toolbar will return your Map to the View on the screen previous to making modifications in terms of scale, location, etc. (Undo) Quick Keys for this function can be found under the View Menu.
Next Map If the Previous Button has been used to return the map to the previous view, the Next Button on the Toolbar will return your Map to the View from which you have just returned. (Redo) Quick Keys for this function can be found under the View Menu. |
