If you find that the Quickmap logo (splash screen popup) won’t go away, it might be that you have started two copies of Quickmap. Typically when you start an extra copy of Quickmap up, it asks you if you want to start an extra instance in a popup, but it’s possible that this popup is hidden under another screen (a pop-under). It’s also possible that there’s something wrong with the computer / Quickmap / .NET installation, which is causing the splash screen / Quickmap logo not to go away as it should.
To fix the above, firstly close the additional instances of Quickmap (which you can see from the Microsoft Windows Task Manager). If that fails, try restarting your computer. If you still get the popup logo, click Tools -> Options and deselect Show Splash Screen On Startup, then close and restart Quickmap.
