The Stats NZ’s census Meshblock dataset (2018) is available as a free download via Quickmap.

This downloadable layer contains a Generalised Release of Meshblock boundaries as at 1 January 2018, which can be downloaded directly via the Quickmap application, from the Tools -> Downloads menu. This data (Layers Area Unit and Meshblock) are added under the “Other” group in Quickmap. Published August 2019.
