Unable To Start Quickmap Data Download Manager

When starting the Quickmap Data Download Manager, you may get this error:

Unable to start Quickmap Data Download Manager

Unable to establish a connection to the Quickmap Data
Download Service. Please ensure this Windows service is
running.

This may be because the service isn’t running or because the Quickmap Data Directory is not set to a valid directory in Quickmap. Start Quickmap and ensure there are no errors when you start it, then check the services.msc MMC snap-in to ensure that the Quickmap Data Download Service service is running.
