Sometimes a survey plan is not available from LINZ and your only option is a title survey plan (sometimes referred to as a title plan, and not to be confused with a title diagram), in which case you’re probably wondering what the different is.
The difference between a survey plan and a title survey plan is that a title survey plan only has the approvals and parcel boundary dimensions (bearings and distances) required for the issue of a title (and sometimes additional information about the areas, such as a title diagram), while the survey plan only displays the survey marks showing how the parcel boundaries were calculated.
