When you register Quickmap, you may get the following error:

Access to the path ‘\Data\Quickmap.config’ is denied.

This happens when registering Quickmap 8.3.7491 when the data directory is stored on a network share, and there are permission problems relating to the way Quickmap uses the data on this share.

To fix this, upgrade Quickmap to a version that is newer than 8.3.7491. Alternatively, to work around this issue either register offline or temporarily move the data directory to a local folder, register Quickmap then move the data directory back to the original location on the network.
