COMException (Error HRESULT E_FAIL Has Been Returned…) In Method UpdateToolbar

Quickmap can give this error:

Quickmap: Unexpected Error Encountered

COMException (Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.) in method UpdateToolbar of class FrmQMap

A further look into the support log may show this error:

InvalidComObjectException (COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used.) in method Map_QOnPaint of class FrmQMap

These errors come about when there are error in (or missing) data.

To fix this, in Quickmap click Tools -> Diagnose / Repair Quickmap.
