When trying to open Quickmap, you may get this error:
Could not open database Provider=Microsoft.JET.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source-\\server\QMap\Data\…
Disk or network error.
If you look at the Quickmap support log, you may see this error:
Warning. failed to read feature. File may be corrupt. File is \\server\Qmap\Data\\Legal\APP\APP_NTH.QIK
If you get this error, first see if the user can navigate to the location of the file specified in the error. This will help diagnose whether it’s an issue accessing the file, which may indicate a network error or possibly a permission issue.
Then check if other computers using data in that directory get the error. If not, the issue is probably related to the user’s lack of permission (possibly NTFS or share permissions) to access the file(s).
If all users accessing this data have the problem (assuming all users don’t have permission problem or network problems), it’s possible that the database file is corrupt. To fix this, reinstall the data or replace the corrupt file with a working one from another installation.
