When trying to install Quickmap, you may get this error:

Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.

Error 0x80070643 indicates that there is a problem with the .NET part of the install. .NET may be corrupt. .NET is a Microsoft component that is used by Quickmap and a variety of other programs, and is a prerequisite that is installed by the Quickmap installer if you don’t already have it (or are running an old version).

To fix .NET install issues:

1. Run the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool
2. Restart your computer
3. Download and install the latest version of .NET
4. Reboot your PC
5. Try installing Quickmap again

If you have trouble with .NET (steps 1 – 4, prior to attempting to install Quickmap), you may need to reinstall your copy of Windows.
