When starting Quickmap you may get this error:

Quickmap: Unexpected Error Encountered

IOException (Pipe is broken.) in method Initialise of class Program

This is due to a problem connecting to the Quickmap Licensing Service.

To fix this bug, contact the Quickmap Support Team for a software update (download link) to update your Quickmap.

To get past the error without a software update, click on the windows / start button (or the Windows key on your computer), then type services.msc then right click the Services app and click Run as Administrator, then find the Quickmap License Service in the list, right click it and click either Start or Restart (depending on which option you have available).
