Copying Maps from QuickMap |
Top Previous Next |
QuickMap allows you to copy your map easily into another application by selecting Edit>Copy Map from the menu bar. Selecting Copy Map will copy the current map into the Windows clipboard, ready for pasting into other applications.
For Example, after selecting Copy Map in QuickMap, run Microsoft Paint, and select Paste off the Edit menu.
(Be aware that if copying into something like a Word document, the size of the map will be constrained by the area it is being pasted into. Eg – margins, text box, etc)
It is possible to include scale bars and other details, which appear in the print preview window from within QuickMap, in your Word document.
As soon as you Click the Print button from the Toolbar in QuickMap, it will take you to the Print Preview Window. At that point, a copy of the map as it appears in Print Preview will be copied to the Clipboard. This image, including scaling, can then be pasted into your Word document.
Alternatively Enterprise users can export the maps in a variety of raster formats by selectingFile>Export from the menu bar.
Click on the Browse Button, which will bring up the Save As dialog box to enable the map to be saved in the desired location. It is only possible to change the file format from the Export dialog box.
