Maps can be printed from QuickMap by selecting File >Print, or by Ctrl+P, or by selecting the Print button from the Tool Bar – (this will open the Print Preview window). Print preview is also activated by selecting File>Print Preview from the menu bar.
When activated the Print Preview opens a new Window as follows:
When in the Print Preview mode the user can
| • | Change the Scale |
| • | Pan the map by positioning the Mouse over the map and clicking and dragging. |
| • | Select the Options button to modify the printer setting and page setup. |
Copying the Image to a Word Document
Once in Print Preview, a copy of the map and details such as the scale bar, is placed on the Clipboard, enabling the image to be pasted into a Word document or Paint and saved as a .jpg or .bmp. These files can then be emailed as attachments. See Copying Maps from QuickMap.
