GP (Graphics Parameter)

Top  Previous  Next

Each point, line and polygon feature on the map must have a graphic’s parameter (GP), which is a number used to index into a symbology table. This symbology table defines the way the feature looks, such as Colour, Shading, line Width, Font or Symbol. How to do this is described under Symbology Editor.

Many features may share one graphics parameter. For Example, A river feature may share the same graphic parameter as a lake feature. Each graphic parameter can be edited using the Symbology Editor.

There are a number of unused GPs which can be used and renamed.

A Default GP can be set when adding new features.
