When trying to close Quickmap, you may get this error:

A software download is in progress. Please cancel it before
closing this window.

This is because Quickmap is trying to update. Either wait for Quickmap to finish updating or press Alt + Tab to tab through open Windows until you find the Quickmap software download window, which you can then close before closing Quickmap.
