When starting Quickmap, you may get this error:

Quickmap found a problem

(path)\Data\nzgrid.asc
Additional Information: Grid file missing

This might be due to a permissions problem which prevents you from accessing the data, or a corruption in the data itself, or as the error suggests, the nzgrid.asc file could be missing.

To fix this, check that the file isn’t missing. If it is, you can copy it from another data directory you have (or talk to Quickmap, who can provide you with one). If the file exists, check that the user has NTFS and share permissions allowing the file to be accessed. If the file isn’t missing and the permissions look correct, perhaps the file is corrupt. In which case, copy it from another data directory you have (or talk to Quickmap, who can provide you with one).
