When installing Air Photos purchased 2002 onto a recent version of QuickMap, you can sometimes get the following error:
The record cannot be deleted or changed because table ‘QExists’ includes related records.
This is because the old air photo setup program does not know about a constraint that exists between the QExists table and QLayers table in some versions of QMap.MDB. The solution is to remove this constraint. There are two ways to do this:
- If you do not need to keep any changes you have made to Symbology (how the map looks), new Layers (you have added your own layers), or changes to the layer visibility, then you can copy QMap.MDB from Disk 1 to your PC.The file QMap.MDB is in the data folder Data of Disk 1. To determine where to copy the file, run QuickMap, and select help -> About Quickmap from the menu. The sixth line shows the Data Folder in the about dialog box.
- The other alternative if you have Microsoft Access is to manually delete the constraint between QExists and QLayers.
After copying the file (or deleting the constraint), re-run the Air Photo setup.
